Software Engineer

School of Computing, National University of Singapore

Job Description
National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of a full-stack Software Engineer in the School of Computing (SoC). This appointment is pursuant to a new joint project by the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, the School of Computing, and I3 Precision Pte Ltd.  The project, funded by the National Health Innovation Center (NHIC), aims to improve the quality of services for healthcare providers as well as quality of life for patients. The software engineer will work with doctors, faculty members, students, and I3 Precision to design, develop, and test, and deploy a mobile application and a cloud-based service, as well as supporting daily operations of the project. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy a mobile application for patients
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based services for healthcare providers

Requirements
  • A Bachelor/Master degree in computer science/computer engineering/electrical engineering
  • Strong software engineering skills
  • Strong organization and communication skills
Candidates with knowledge in at least one of the following areas are preferred:
  • Ruby on Rails development
  • Android SDK development
  • Computer vision and video analytics algorithms using OpenCV in C++ and Python
  • UI and UX design
  • Software testing and continuous integration
  • Operation and deployment on cloud platforms

Job Type
Full Time, Contract (1 year; with potential extension depending on performance and project needs)

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
